Assignment Manager-Siebel

Assignment Concept: Select most Appropriate Candidate by enforcing business rules.
Territories (Assignment Rules) are collection of Accounts / Contacts / Assets. Territories are based on geographic area.
Business Rules are based on
1. Geographic: State, City, Country etc.
2. Non-Geographic: Industry, Product, Product Line, Service Request Area etc.

Territory Conditions (Assignment Criteria): Accounts/Contacts / Assets that can be assigned.
Assignment Rule can have multiple assignment criteria.
Condition Value (Assignment Criteria Value)
Territory Managers and Territory Teams (Assignment Candidates)
Position Based: Opportunity, Contact, Account and Partner. (Position or Organization)
Persona Based: Service Request, Product Defects (Employee or Organization)
*Select candidates from (Employee or Position), Organization, or both.

Skills to match assignment rules to candidate attributes
Employee, position, and organization skills are used to store skills possessed; the skill tables (Like S_EMP_SKILL, S_POS_SKILL etc) for objects are used to store skills required. Assignment Manager uses these tables to do skill matching by comparing the skills on the object with the skills of an employee, position, or organization to determine who passes the rule.
* Expertise level to weigh skill score.

Distribution: maximum work can be handled by individual.
